For the first time in Pakistan, a most powerful and fully integrated hospital and financial management system was introduced in Doctors Hospital. After the implementation of this software the hospital is now operating in total computerized environment. The ambitious development of this software took almost two years. The program consisted of eight fully integrated modules that covered all operational requirements of the hospital. Special emphasis was given to patients management and billing system.

In the patient management system all medical and administrative information is made available on line and is continuously updated through scores of terminals installed in different hospital departments. Recently laboratory management program has also been added to record which enables to review and analyze the patients tests through computers. All medical data is electronically attached to patient's files that could be accessed by authorized personal through any terminal. In the patient accounts, the charges are updated on real-time basis thus patient's bill always remains updated.

Similarly, Human Resource Management system is also designed to electronically keep the data of hospital employees along with their pictures and history. Other programs include payroll, Accounts payable, Stores and Inventory control, purchasing, maintenance and finally the general ledger where all the financial data is automatically received creates all necessary financial reports over a tip of finger. This program has become so popular that at least five other hospitals in Pakistan have decided to adopt it. It is a matter of great pride that this huge software of international standards was actually conceived, designed and implemented in the Doctors Hospital.
